The next step is of course learning about them. If you have played the first Starcraft then you probably already have a good idea of what each one is about. When you pick your race you must understand that a ton of other gamers will have picked that race to work with as well. The race you have chosen will be yours for a long time so do not plan on backing down. You can easily master the race by first getting down their basic skills. Study the skills and abilites forward and back. It makes perfect sense to become a master at knowing what each race and unti is capable of.

Improve and sharpen you skills to broaden your knowledge on the other races. The time will come for you to attack your opponent so be sure to throw everything you got at them when the time comes. Basically the more you learn about the game strategy as a whole the more effective practices will be. Reaching diamond does not happen overnight as there are many obstacles you must go through.

If at any point you fail and lose a game then do not take it to heart. Think of the failures and losses you went through as lessons to learn from. Just remember that anybody can become a pro Starcraft 2 player as long as they do the work involved. For a limited time you can grab a copy of a reputable Starcraft 2 guide.
